Welcome to West Seattle

A neighborhood of outdoor beauty with strong community vibes.

Outdoor Fun

Hundreds of acres of gorgeous parks, idyllic beaches, miles of trails, and many more outdoor opportunities are all right here in West Seattle. Spend a sunny summer day playing beach volleyball or enjoying a picnic and sunbathing on the sandy beach at Alki, or head out for an afternoon of golf at the West Seattle Golf Course. There are so many ways to stay active and embrace natural beauty in this neighborhood without having to travel far!

Dining

West Seattle is home to a wide variety of dining options, whether you’re on the search for a lowkey dive bar or an extra-special date night dinner. You’ll find the most restaurants, bars, and coffee shops along California Ave and Alki Beach. A few neighborhood favorites include Il Nido (high-end Italian), Luna Park Cafe (retro diner vibes with classic American fare), and Harry Beach House (PNW seafood with a trendy atmosphere). And that’s only the beginning!

Commuting

West Seattle offers quick access to Highway 99 and Interstate-5 via the West Seattle Bridge. SODO, Pioneer Square, and Downtown Seattle are especially easy to get to. You’ll also find plenty of buses including the RapidRide, and the Link Light Rail is coming to West Seattle! The West Seattle Water Taxi will take you straight into Downtown Seattle so you can skip the bridge, and another ferry makes it easy to hop over to Vashon Island or Southworth (close to Port Orchard and Bremerton).
